On immigration
>Such an important aspect of modern life like mass migration is not left unattended. Unlike the Catholic approach that unduly favors migrants, particularly in Europe, the Orthodox notices the negative nature of the process, as well as the fact that it leads to confrontation of different identities and value systems. In addition, the Orthodox Church propose to look at the roots of this phenomenon. The reason for the migration is the liberal, hedonistic ideology bleeding the peoples of Europe and the interests of the capitalist elite, who need a cheap and disenfranchised workforce:
>Attempts by indigenous people of the rich countries to stop the migration flow are futile, because they come in conflict with greed of their own elites who are interested in the low-wage workforce.
On usury
> The only alternative to the global fictitious liberal economy can only be a real Christian economy.
>Business expectations in lending, often ghostly becomes more profitable than the production of tangible goods. In this regard, it must be remembered about the moral ambiguity of the situation, when money is "make" new money without the application of human labor. Declaring credit sphere to be the main engine of the economy, its predominance over the real economic sector comes into conflict with the moral principles, reveled by God condemning usury.

Just because the pope fancies it not all catholics do, this is not the first bad pope. A dead fish flows with the stream of the sinful.

I am so sick and tired of Orthodox LARPing. Here's why the Orthodox are against immigration:
1) Communism was against immigration because "muh western spies" and they still suffer from communist ideas to this day even if they have formally rejected the ideology
2) The average orthodox population back home is very old because all their young people migrated, and therefore reminiscent of times when they had communism and their world was very close
3) The young orthodox in foreign countries are some of the most racemixing and degenerate ones you will ever find, thus proving that there's nothing in orthodox theology that somehow prevents modernist from taking a hold, except the fact that orthodox countries are literal shitholes full of illiterates
>> The only alternative to the global fictitious liberal economy can only be a real Christian economy.
Said by people who literally welcomed totalitarian communism it sounds incredibly cheesy and fake
Let me add that profoundly catholic countries like Italy and Spain are also against immigration (as statistics show), and it's protestant cucks through the political influence of the USA, which are complete israeli puppets, who impose it on catholic countries by threat of economical annihilation of their population
>Eastern Orthodoxy
>can't figure out how to proselytize
>can't stand up to the Tsar
>can't convert the Mongols
>can't convert the Poles
>can't convert the Lithuanians
>have done nothing of relevance for centuries
>refuse to call out Tsarist abuses
>refuse to call out Soviet abuses
>supposed to at least be an opiate of the masses, but can't even manage that since Russia's suicide rate is sky-high and church attendance is, like, 3%
>churches are ugly

It's pretty funny how contrarians look to Orthodoxy as if it's better than Catholicism, when they're more pathetic than even the prods.

I could post three for times this again easily.
Czarist abuses were called out plenty, read Ways of Russian Theology, a history of the Church in Russia.
Soviet abuses were also absolutely called out, most of the clergy was imprisoned because they refused to accept the "Living Church"; the laity also refused to accept it, and when Stalin needed the Orthodox Church in WWII, he turned the Church back over to the 90%+ of clergy that was imprisoned, who only accepted back clergy who joined the Living Church when they did the penance of Apostates; when the Patriarch of the Russian Church said the Russian Church is unquestionable loyal to the USSR, almost all the clergy and their laity broke Communion with him (yet Stalin let their parishes still operate), and it wasn't restored until they elected a new Patriarch
