Is it possible to stop feeling emotions altogether by reaching a certain level of enlightenment? Can you convince your body that you do not want to feel certain emotions anymore?

Maybe when you're dead.

I think it's possible in life too, but very difficult to achieve

you stop feeling emotions when you understand them fully

If anything stopping your emotions is like opposite of enlightenment. You reach that state through years of fucked up experiences and drug abuse.

>Can you convince your body that you do not want to feel certain emotions anymore?
If your objective is simply to block out sadness, that is not enlightenment.
>Le enlightenment means no emotions meme

Backing away from your unwanted emotions only make them stronger and thinking about them only prolongs them.
You just have to be aware of the bodily sensation that comes with the thoughts/emotions(e.g. tight feeling in the stomach.) and relax it.
Besides, enlightenment is really just a very simple state of mind where you only immediately take care of the moment, and nothing else.
It's simple but not easy at all to grasp non-conceptually.

definitely takes practice to allow thoughts to happen and not entertain them.
in one ear and out the other.
but understand it's there, and consider it's existence before it disappears.
