Red army raped a lot of women while they were advancing trough europe. On the other hand in wermacht and most other allied armies youd get punished for doing such thing. There was this amazing scenario where the red army already crossed the serbian border and raped quite some of their women. Not him, but pretty much every old timer Eastern European I talked to highlighted how the Germans were usually polite and friendly while the Soviets were literal marauders, raping and looting everything they saw.
