Did Japan really lose the war?
>only three cities lost when compared to dozens of british, german and soviet cities blown up
>aside from that the mainland was completely untouched, something that only happened with another WW2 nation, the USA
>no territorial changes - japan started the war by conquering territories, but lost them. so in the end japanese lands are the same as before they went to wars.
>countless USA investments in japan and military protection made it be safe, stable and prosperous, which wasnt as true to european theater countries
Yes yes, unconditional surrender, but in the end Japan was very fortunate with the war.
I say that Japan did not lose the war.
This entire post is retarded
Just because they were spared some of the damage other countries suffered doesn't mean they didn't lose. Many Italian cities were not destroyed either but no one says they did not lose.

>m-muh nippon banzai
Did Germany lose WWI? Yes, yes it did. Did they fucking learn from it? No, no they didn't.
Japan right now is the exact same. Their country proper didn't get touched during the war, so there's still a shitton of people who think they were close to winning.
Like yourself.
There's a difference between losing the war and losing the peace.

>Japanese territories were the same
Japan had a hold on Korea a good few decades before Manchuria. While they were given relative mercy, they lost through and through.
