But Japan was a member of the LoN, didn't stop them walking into China, and no one did anything about it, all the same Russia just walked into Ukraine and the UN did nothing.

I was told in my history class that the difference with the UN that every nation was automatically a member, and it was simply up to them whether to send a delegate or not. Seems like a better system to me.

Vaccination programs, famine relief, anti-crime coordination, environmental protection, sustainability efforts, preservation of cultural artifacts. Rule of thumb, if nobody in the media cares, UN at least tries to do shit about that. If someone cares, than it would be cucked by the council members, lack of money or just general incompetence because nobody wants here to be the strong UN with fucking real army.
