Do any Sikhs browse this board? Tell me about your religion. I was thinking of converting to Sikhism a while back and really got into looking into it, but now I'm not so sure. Does your religion have any political undertone like Islam? What's the significance of not cutting your hair? Your turbans are pretty sick but I can't take white people in turbans seriously. I'm brown so I think I could pull it off.
I swear to god its been years now and "people" refuse to stop shitposting this sikhs are bro-tier spam
I wouldn't convert, don't think I could I put up with the turban, also, though I'm not sure if entirely correct, holy text is treated very highly almost as if it was living.
Why do I find sikhism to lack the same kind of character I think other major and even not so major religions have?
I have very superficial knowledge of buddhism, hinduism or even shit like zoroastrianism, but I feel like all of those have a distinct and recognizable identity

Sikhism is only 500 years old so I don't think it really got to develop an "identity" per se. It was never a religion for the masses, and I don't think it will ever be, I just find it interesting is all. It came about during a time of high tensions between the Muslim upper class and Hindu majority, which is why I find it so interesting.

Just because Gurjirat Nejijanti is a cool guy doesn't mean you have to covert to his religion. Good luck being a white guy wearing a turban all day.

>people say it therefore it's wrong
Wouldnt convert, but Sikhs are pure bro tier at least in Britain. Literally never cause trouble, integrate 10/10.

I'm a Sikh.
>Tell me about your religion
"Our religion is to labour and to love and to see our God everywhere and in every thing. We live brimful of Him. Our life is in the dhyanam (the imaging of Him in our soul) of our Beloved. We die when of this deprived."
>Does your religion have any political undertone
I'm not going to compare ourselves to other religions. A Sikh should simultaneously be engaged and detached from the world. We don't carry weapons for no reason. We have to be "politica"l, we have to be active. This is not a religion of bystanding and praying.
> What's the significance of not cutting your hair?
The Khalsa(initiated ones) don't cut their and wear turbans. This is the identity of the Khalsa given by our Guru.
>but I can't take white people in turbans seriously
Sounds like your problem. I'm not white, but if I was, I wouldn't care about what others thought.

Completely false brother.
