Can we finally deal away with the "Tukhachevsky was a military genius" meme?
His track record is surprisingly mediocre. The 1920 catastrophe in Poland was largely due to him allowing his units to become spread and overextended (Stalin today usually receives the blame on account of being Stalin). Also, there's absolutely no record of him actually formulating any ideas that would be precursor of Blitzkrieg of the later Deep Battle doctrine. He gets this shit attributed to him only since 1980s.
so, wasn´t he a personal friend of Guderian before the war?

Actually, I think that was Charles De Gaul. He and Tukachevsky were POWs in Germany during WW 1.
