The reason religion is separate now is because the world is pulling as many people as they can away from it and because religion became a political power rather than teaching the spiritual teachings it was originally meant to.

Christ taught the simplest teaching, and the world took it and "re-crucified" Christ by making it a divided group of people who do not agree on aspects of religion that aren't even related to Christ.

First of all, you're implying these things are in any way bad (they're not).

Second, those things have existed in many cultures that weren't specifically Christian. The Romans were known for their sexual imagery in public spaces - what you would call 'pornography' - and it was to the extent that Victorian archeologists found themselves utterly shocked when finding phallic artifacts or mosaics depicting sexual activities in bars, brothels, private homes, and even in theaters and public baths. But you don't see idiot /pol/acks writing about what was "wrong" with the Roman Empire

OP, you have made a compelling point for a combination of spirituality, philosophy, and meditation (which is essentially the basis for any monastic group in different religions throughout history). But organized religion for the laymen has not done us very well over the years.
