Is there somewhere that I can find early 20th century audio recordings of (American) people speaking naturally, without that fake Transatlantic accent?

OP here.
For the record, I'm more interested in hearing what Northerners sounded like.
I've heard a lot of recordings of Confederate vets and Southerners.

The transatlantic accent was mainly a showbusiness thing. It gave an air of intelligence, or refinement, and a broader cultural perspective which is why so many people did their best to learn to speak that way.
It's not that it's inauthentic. It's really just more of a trend of the times.
