How would Nazi Germany have dealt with the likelihood that, while returning to a manned space mission, their astronauts could miscalculate the landing and end up in a Soviet or Allied territory (let's get serious, even a victorious Nazi Germany couldn't have brought them to submission, at best they could've sit with them at the same table and negotiate peace on equal terms)?
Would've account for the astronauts to commit suicide with a poison capsule before being captured?
How would this news be dealt (if published at all) in the Fatherland=

Holy fucking shit how do you even come up with something like this, what the fuck did you smoke bro
>>
Did the US consider the possibility that their astronauts could have ended up in Soviet territory?

I'm guessing it would've been the same thing.

Everybody knows they used Reichsflugscheiben and did not have to deal with such primitive problems

That was during the Cold War. If Nazi astronauts landed in Allied or Soviet territory they would have faced active combatants, who weren't even supposed to know about the German space program.

Lets say that the American astronauts had landed in Soviet territory. The Soviet Union would have nothing to gain by detaining them and it would have only caused international condemnation if they'd try anything stupid.

A soviet cosmonauts allegedly landed in China by mistake, at a time when diplomatic relations had already been severed, and got detained there for a year

They'd be kept prisoner. German pilots occasionally crashed in allied territory alive.
