It is something you own. Money, yes, but also tools, buildings, machinery. There's fixed capital (A workbench, for exemple) and mobile capital (Wood that you'll chop up to build chairs, for exemple). Workers are not considered capital.

Technically, yes, a slave could be considered capital as it is your property. Depends on the sort of slavery though. A medieval serf could defend itself and ask a lot of retributions to his lord, so he wasn't really capital. Same for mameluks or janissaries.
However, if you talk about your slave in cotton or sugar fields, yes, he is capital.
