Just finished watching pic related.
It occurs to me that I haven't read a book since high school. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the library and try to become more aquatinted with history and the world.
Are there any particular books /his/ might recommend? Doesn't even have to be history related really, just anything you'd consider mandatory reading material.

In my experience books that I have been recommend are mostly shit. Books I enjoyed I found while browsing my interests and founding books on the subjects. Some even by random chance.
Maybe start with generalist books and specialize into what you are interested in.
This is really more of a /lit/ thread, but I'd say for English, Shakespeare's series of Richard II, Henry IV part 1, Henry IV part 2, and Henry V are very mandatory for embarking on any rich, pleasurable experience of literature.
