post people who were robbed of the presidency
had this man not been shot by his own bodyguards, his America would have been a sight to behold
>Every Man a King would have ended the Depression
>his race relations would have been ahead of it's time, had mad credit with black Americans
>cared about education and infrastructure
>would probably have steered out of WWII
Huey Long should have been president.

More like, get off a /his/ board, guy was Roosevelt's rival and quite prominent in American politics in the time. Most of our election techniques come from him & in ways he's also a proto-Trump
His 'Every Man a King' idea was really... fanciful, and unrealistic. It's actually good he didn't become president, since - knowing him - he might have actually attempted to implement it.
Excited to see another Kingfish aficionado. Having read pic related, his plan to become president seemed far fetch. To try and stay relevant through two presidential cycles? Plus WWII sealed the deal for FDR.
Also, I believe that the bodyguards bullets ricochet off the marble walls. It wasn't intentional, just trigger happy goons.
If Reagan didn't primary him, he would've been stronger going into the general election against Carter.

Al Gore
Not presidential but the story of Anton Cermak is a sad one. Son of Czech immigrants, becomes mayor of Chicago during the '30s, remarkably not in the pocket of mobsters, ends up getting shot by someone who was trying to assassinate FDR instead
