One day an obese hat-wearing, bearded, thick glasses-wearing individual will make a video about Stirner for a wide audience of people. In it he will shed light not so much on Stirner's thoughts and intentions but the popular memetic vision of his philosophies. The commoners will fail to analyze further, understand further and finally realyze the true meanings and will begin to misuse "spook" and "property" in common talk to a degree in which they have bastardized "underman" and "overman".
One day Stirner will go down the way of Nietzsche.
How does the idea of this "one day" make you feel, /his/? Personally I feel spooked.
I feel like a true Stirnerite wouldn't really give a fuck. Then again, a true Stirnerite wouldn't use the terms "true" or "Stirnerite".

It's pretty spooky, seen it already beginning on Facebook.
Why would I care exactly?
I don't feel that Nietzsche has any way been bastardized at all, just because edgelords on Youtube don't understand him properly.
I actually feel pretty smug knowing that they don't really know what they're talking about.
It doesn't bother me. I see no reason why the conception of others on this particular subject would effect mine own.
Even then, if people did get a baseline understanding of Stirner, perhaps they would be receptive to go deeper into his ideas.

Me too, brother. Wanna grow a moustache together?
Noone outside of 4chan cares abot Stirner. Edgy fedoras these days dont care about philosophy, they are spooked hard by "science".
