It is like random number generators in computer science.

There are no true random number generators. They all operate on a deterministic algorithm that can be reverse engineered. However, the more complex the algorithm, the closer it is to being truly "random."

There are nested layers of choice and deterministic framework.

Our choice gets processed by the deterministic framework, which framework (physics) then modifies the universe to reflect our "choice"

this happens in a feedback loop that is ultimately beyond our control, but still allows for the useful social constructs of "choice" and "accountability."

We *try* to only trust important decisions to those that have been deterministically granted the gift of foresight and patience.
