Got a question.
I had an old version of HS (Launch day shit + the first DLC iirc). Noticing the Party expansion, downloaded that from Nyaa, updated my mods (Zeaska's and MrBBB's dlc fixes, Roy's DLC fix, new version of WideSlider from 0.5 to 0.8, GGMOD from 1.3 to 1.6, etc).
Translation got fucked, so I went and downloaded the MF patch that supposedly is an up-to-date translation, and that ruined everything.

I've come to terms that I'm gonna have to do a fresh install, and decided to not bother with the Party expansion anymore, so I got [spoiler]http://fitgirl-repacks.site/honey-select-3-dlcs/ [/spoiler] and decided I'd just mod it back from zero (GGmod, clothing/Acessories, wideslider, etc) as the repack already comes with a translation equivalent to the one I had on my old version.

Now here's my problem:
All of my cards are 'gone'. The game does not recognize any single one of them. The thing is I've tried redownloading one or two of them that I could find, and while it has every single same detail (size, pixels, everything) as the "old" one I had, the "newly downloaded" one gets recognized whereas the others don't.

Is there any way to 'restore' my old cards or do I need to hunt them down all over again?

The only thing I remember that messed with the cards was when I tried to launch the game after applying Party DLC and it 'moved them' to a Chara_Old folder, but neither those nor the ones it kept in the usual chara/female are functional/recognized.

Is there a way to set the default map lighting way down so the only light comes from custom lights?

I'm trying to make an actual dark scene but even when it's at 0 the default light is still super bright.

i think if you change the strength value to 0 yourself it'll completely kill the lights, but i think it resets to 0.10 when you reset the scene

Nope, non of those. It worked just fine before the party DLC. Now whenever I try to save a new character the game kinda freezes, you can hear button sounds when you hoover around the frozen screen but you cant do anything else. The game works just fine whenever I save a already existing character

I installed the fully updated pack, and it worked for a while but it seems all the DLC maps and then suddenly the vanilla maps stopped working. It just loads with the female in T-pose and then has all the ejaculation-commands unlocked and nothing happens when you click on anything.

I had an old(er) version I believe. I installed everything and ran the update mods on everything ( even though I don't use Studio/NEO and only the HS64 exe).

When I booted the first time and saw my translation was kaputt and my cards went to the chara_old thing, I installed the MF patch thinking it'd be the updated translation and that fucked everything up, and both the 'updated but not translated game', the "pre-everything backup" and the "ruined post-expansion post-MF patch game" do not recognize any cards. Thing is cards like the pic related, which I downloaded six hours before I fucked up, was working fine. The 'version' that was in the game folder after I fucked up is no longer recognizable, but I redownloaded it and tried it again on one of the fucked up versions and it works.

I'm just really scared because my internet is arse, that I have to redownload and do a full fresh install (60gb+ or so) and worse, finding and hunting back all the cards I didn't make myself.

can someone explain me what is this ? a game engine where you can upload custom models and fuck as i see. is that right ?

Been looking at the pastebin, I guess I'll get the "Backup" for 10.5gb updated on the 20th May, apply all the translations from the pastebin and apply the mods I was using (Ggmod, wideslider, shortcut plugin (for futa & PoV) and the uncensors), and then go back to hunting cards and applying the necessary clothing/acessory packs (I think it was only Zeaska's and Roy's so I should be okay).

You guys most likely have a lot more practice at this than I do, is there any glaring flaw with my plan that I can't spot, be it order or incompatibility?

There's something I'm not getting about the new studio. How do you set people together so that they share the same H animation without having to remember the Japanese characters and set them individually?

I assumed you set one as the parent, but I can't get that button to go active at all.

Only by using the advanced IK mod which is currently only old studio supported (the neo version doesn't have animation editing capabilities afaik)

They haven't appealed to any other fetishes yet. The game is still normal male on normal female, and we only just got lucky the last update with a couple of threesome scenes. It's still very bare bones in terms of fetishes. If the jap community would have asked for stuff like futa or more gang bangs I'm sure Illusion would have saw money in it for another update and made it in an instant.

Scene files work but we've been having less posts on here, booru, the illusion site, and even 2ch since the NEO update came around. My guess is that the new studio has people working longer and harder on scenes thanks to the new options and that's why we aren't getting them so quickly, or people don't want to touch it because it looks complicated.

The japanese fanbase are clearly into the same things we are judging by their studio scenes. I just think they don't realize that Illusion will literally make any kind of updates they want if a good amount of them make it known that they'll by said update. So what graphic options/textures are everyone using?

Using the 170527 graphic mod with 4K & linear experiment, I can get a real nice looking girl as long as I use the "EX" textures, but everything else such as the map and the male are pretty desaturated and washed out.

Pic related. Hard to tell the difference on most of them its so subtle. Like the characters will be the same but the corner of the door is slightly darker

I reinstalled the game with all DLCs and mods and it works fine except now the graphics are all washed out even on "Quality". I dunno if I missed some graphics mod I had before.

Also, when I apply UITranslation and the translation files it's only a partial translation. The Character Maker menus are in japanese and the dialogue is only translated via superfluous subtitles in the top and not the dialog box.

I've tried removing the translation and reapplying but it always seems to leave something out. Whyyyy?

I had a problem earlier where the game would boot to a fucked up option menu that did nothing. I fixed that but now no characters load. I also lost the illusion logo in the beginning. Hey guys just curious about my game. I downloaded and installed everything correctly though the pastebin, but everytime I enter an H scene there's no male character or anyway to start the scene up. I can press all the position icons and move the camera around, but nothing actually happens.
