I don't think anyone said it was a "big thing" just that it's neat for the community to produce something itself for once instead of just spending forever looking at what already exists. Obviously it can't appeal to every taste but the collaboration resulted in something competent and appealing to the spirit of the /h/ community. Plus it draws on some themes that aren't that common in hentai making it kind of unique in it's own right.

The irony is anything made by /h/ technically isn't hentai and would go on /aco/.

Most anime is made in Korea now anyway. American and Japanese animation studios all outsource to the same people.
