Japan has a huge thing about how women are supposed to be 'pure' so naturally defiling that gets them off. Or at least that's what I heard.

Plus if you take a look at all the hypnosis and magical-girl-out-of-nowhere tropes that are common in hentai - well, I suppose they reek of self-insert as it basically means the man's getting sex for doing absolutely nothing, rarely with any emotional attacement and so on. I'm probably over-analyzing this but oh well.

this is the exact same thing in porn. to make a hentai you must put a reason for sex to happen. the thing is there is not much reason that exist for sex to happen and rape storie make some sense.
