I know it sounds trite, but honestly you just need to practice and be patient with it. Also: varying the line weight really sells it.

Line weight is how thick the line is. A thick line is said to have "heavy" line weight while a thin line is said to have "light" line weight.

Varying lineweight is making sure that the lines have varying thicknesses and having them taper at the ends. A general rule of thumb is that the more similar the space on two sides of a line are, the thinner the line (ex: a fold in fabric or overlapping strands of hair) whereas the more different they are the thicker the line (heavy clothing and bare skin or the character and the background). This helps the drawing to look more dynamic.

However, heavy line weight also runs the risk of making the drawing look "cartoony." While this isn't necessarily "bad" per se, it's worth remembering when determining the style you are going for. A lot of really good hentai (and drawing in general) utilize very minimal lineart, relying instead on detailed shading.

Anon here. Sorry about that, but I'm not artistically inclined (which is why I put in the request in this thread to begin with) so vague statements are the best I can do.

When I did the quick edit in >>4361891 I just magic wanded her face and increased the brightness by 10 points. That looked ideal to me, though the shading around the face is now too dark. So if I had to be specific I'd ask that her face in >>4361835, be brightened by 10 points, and then the shading adjusted accordingly.

Knkl on youtube goes pretty indepth with how to draw and color in photoshop. He does professional work for blizzard and riot so he normally goes way above and beyond what is needed for this kinda stuff. Although, once you learn the hard way, simple stuff like this becomes very easy.
There's also /ic/ but they will normally laugh at you; /I/ is also an option, I posted there for a while.
Regardless if you want to get good you just need to practice for a few weeks and play around with the buttons. start with using masking/multiply/luminessence layers as well as working with a tablet.

being a flat image and not the original photoshop file I couldn't easily isolate the line art to adjust the color. the line art was also very close to the shading color which meant I had to hand isolate all of it or else it would look bad.
long story short: the image was still sketchy and not ready for color. its still possible to color it, it just takes longer than I had patience for.
