Can someone tell me if it's possible for eze downloader to set a naming scheme like 001,002,003 etc. after downloading instead of always naming all files with the complete gallery name and an added number at the end? The file names get extremely long sometimes.

The top layer is the shadow, but what layer type? Multiply? Darken? What color? Same as base? A gray? Or black?

Note that doujin is the wrong word, it isn't even a noun, it's an adjective, like doujin music, doujin game etc.

The proper term, which e-hentai uses correctly, is doujinshi, which means fan magazine (or more technically, magazine published by a doujin circle). Most doujinshi are manga (SFW or H) though some doujinshi are novels instead.

There's just no good word for "commercially published manga", so that's why they chose that distinction of manga implying commercially published manga.

If you're still here, what you posted didn't contain all needed cookies. To get all of the cookies press f12 while being on fakku, click the network tab (and not the console tab), press f5, scroll up and click the first entry in that list (something like "200 GET"). Is there any need for a program that does the work for you (like UrlWatcher for hentai)? If yes, I could talk a bit about my program.

A quick webm to show the basic functionality. I (am going to) use it to watch favorite artists, characters, parodies, etc. on different websites. Additionally, I save the metadata/personal information offline, so that if a certain websites shuts down (hello Pururin), I still have all the information I need.
Currently only nhentai works flawlessly, I already sort of implemented e-hentai. Other websites can be added if needed. It's a server/client architecture, but I use it on the same machine.

Should I go into more detail? If there is interest, I could release the files and/or code.

Everyone provides their own anecdotal best practices going so far as runtime loading FXML from a hardcoded path, it's a bit of a mess. I learned JavaFX the hard way, switching back between FXML and programatically doing the UI (FXML via SceneBuilder), and making a mess every single time.
I think between the server code and the JavaFX code, the GUI has a much cleaner code. This time I did not want to create a mess, but I also went with programatically designing the UI. I just feel like I have more control over it that way and came to really dislike the SceneBuilder. I can't assess working directly with FXML files, never learned it. You can see it for yourself, I'll comment the GUI code a bit more, hopefully it helps you.

Lol latest happypanda crashed after I tried adding my directory of 2300 zip files. Guess it's back to panda viewer.

Just added a vast majority of my files, but I'm sure it didn't grab everything. Is there any way to add a directory so it checks against that for new content, instead of re-adding everything in the folder and deleting (mostly) duplicates?

Some things I noticed about happypanda

You can make it monitor that folder for new galleries. Check the settings. Though regardless of how you import, it won't add duplicates.

I'd assume that it has a delay between each gallery search to avoid getting you banned. In the settings you can actually specify how long that delay should be.

So the rules changed the size/blurriness of the text to see if it was a very size that triggered it. Apparently that is not the case though, as you say only the last one completely removed it. Color was not modified, as I imagine that would have no effect.

It's supposed to be a very faint shadow. It's in there because original ExLinks had it, and I kept it. I may remove it altogether since it's almost unnoticeable and it "causes" issues.

Seems stupid to ask but I figured out happypanda and like the organization it does, but can you just view the gallery itself directly from the program? I might be missing how but every attempt to view the gallery directly besides right clicking and viewing folder has only resulted in viewing the thumbnail for the gallery. Otherwise no complaints and made me realize I have more duplicates than I thought.

Yes, you can. You can view in Happypanda and on exhentai. You have to set which program you want Happypanda to use to open them. Personally, I have it set to honeyview. There are various duplicate finding programs in the spreadsheet. Happypanda only does it by name and not much by that.

The use for it would be instead of checking the exhentai front page (yes, I know it's currently nhentai only) multiple times a day, if there new relevant stuff it would appear in the client. For example, if a certain artist had new works, or if any new works had a tag that a person was interested in. I think some people may use it, but I don't know. It may be too much effort for the average user. I guess it's to be seen. I'll add it to spreadsheet after I finish typing this.

I'm kind of with you on this one. I don't mind the whole copying thing too much but with sites like pixiv, nijie, tumblr, ect. that keeps images in a certain order by name, then it becomes a problem. I don't think a manga style viewer for certain image sets has been implanted yet. No offense but that's pretty sloppy even for Hydrus. When you have images that go in a certain order it can become really underwhelming to see them all scatter all over the place. This isn't just a Pixiv thing either, loads of image sites do this. Tagging just isn't enough for something like this. I'm not asking for like a 26 page separate viewer or anything, just a better way to order small sets of like 2 or more images so people can view them easily. Keeping things organized the way it does is why I love this program.

That's exactly what I use it for, yes. Currently, there is only a global blacklist for tags and artists, which you can modify in the config creator. If you can throw me some good arguments why you should specify the blacklists per watch, I'll think about a per-watch blacklist configuration.

Thanks, it looks good over all but I feel some pages feel too spacious even on a full-screened browser at 1440p. The gallery/image viewer page especially having to scroll down each time you go to the next page so the image takes up the full height of your browser.

And I guess you know about other issues like the torrent window needing a lot of width which was a big problem for me because it always opened a small window and I had to resize it everytime I wanted to check the seeds or torrent name.

But it does look sexy so good work there.

I got archive download working using python+requests, not that hard, just use the correct cookies.

Parsing libs should take the stress out of getting image links, but the main problem is with navigating Ex's page hierarchy. No API and inconsistent DOM makes for sad times.
Hell, sometimes your downloads will just hang indefinitely because H@H.

It'd probably help if you downloaded the exhentai database and read the documentation for the e-hentai API and etc.

Question about eze, I am using it to download galleries.
Sometimes he can't download a file and gives out the error, Request for image failed, and then I can't download the gallery because it stops.
When I try to open that file in Exh itself it also doesn't load and I have to click the [Click here if the image fails loading] button on the bottom of the page.
Is there a solution to that?

The problem you're describing is caused by a H@H node going offline: you either request the content from another node (clicking that button) or you disable H@H browsing completerly in your user settings.

I got hdoujin downloader. I think it was just 20$ or something. I only use it to download from ex. Haven't really checked but I assume it doesn't use my gp to download or what would be the point right? So I would think that makes it worth it.

Another thing I use is the pixiv translation plus database. It's not actively being updated but it does provide a bunch of additional translations for the pixiv translation script.

I have a question for happypanda. So when I add a doujinshi. Does it create a copy of one?

Free version is good enough to have it in OP I think. Can download 25 complete galleries every day. But the all the settings and options is what makes it stand out for me.
