Whilst I agree that fat people can and do have event muscle mass (they need to to move around), the sheer weight and inertia of their mass means they're probably only as strong as a skinny person lacking in muscle. The difference is the amount of food they require.

Take myself for example. I can lift the same weight as my colleagues at work (we stock shelves in a hardware store), but I only weigh 2/3rds of their weight. I have more muscle relative to my size, and can do the same work with less food.
