What're some image editors that were professionally used in the 90s?

This is what I always wonder when looking at older graphic design work. I guess all the fundamental tools were still there. Probably made it easier without all the new clutter/filters/effects etc.

First there was no software and it was all done by hand, then came Quantel Paintbox and after that Adobe Photoshop.

Corel draw was quite popular.
Love the design in the OP, really gives me that thirst quenching tropical vibe. I even want Capri Sun now. That surfer on the label and the sea is just dope.
