I'm pretty happy with my Dell XPS 9550 and it's not business class. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't get such a great deal on it though. Not all consumer grade laptops are garbage. I will say that those HP folio elitebooks are pretty nice.

My job repairing computers made me hate the pavilion line with a passion.

Probably never because business class hardware isn't really sold in retail stores where they can go try 'em out. People are fucking stupid, obviously, and they want pretty shiny shit aka MacBooks and Dell Inspirons and HP Pavillions and anything in that particular class of hardware.

I only buy and use Dell Latitudes, haven't mucked with ThinkPads in a few years but I had a T430 last year for a short period of time, and an HP Elitebook 2 years ago that wasn't all that bad. But Latitudes - and I've had a Precision workstation laptop in the recent past as well, M6600 loaded, loved that fucking beast laptop.

Fuck consumer class crap, forever.
