Is coffeelake benchmarks accurate?
I might pull the trigger in ryzen if its real
Unfortunately yes. Somehow a 6-core coffinlake is barely better than a 4-core cuckylake
My advice: get an R3 1200, OC as much as possible and wait for Zen 2. It's rumoured to feature 5 GHz clocks out of the box and boosted IPC over current zen.

turbo wasn't working, which from what I've read is meant to be 4.3ghz all core turbo, so 3.7ghz was what the cinebench runs were at. desu I don't think 600mhz will make much of a difference at all to the grand scheme of things considering that the 8700k will probably be a 370$~ chip placed just under what the X299 6-core chip is, while offering even less features but of course will require a z-series chipset so motherboards will most likely cost 160-200~ on launch as well.
I personally think the R5 1600 is the sweet spot currently in terms of price/performance, and if you really compare the two, Intels offerings aren't worth 50% more.

Even with turbo you're looking at most 1340 instead of 1230 cinebrunch points.

Source? Still sad performance for a ~$400 chip that requires a new motherboard.
Also rumour is coffinlake i7s are actually i5 skylake cores glued together with HT.
>>62465982
wait for zen 2 it will be much better
>>62466046
If true the R5 2600 will be GOAT $/perf
>>62466141
I DID say that I dont think 600mhz will make much of a difference.
>>62466153
well of course the i5 and i7 are the same fucking chip with HT enabled on the i7, welcome to Intel feature roulette, they've been doing this since the start of the I-series.

>It's rumoured to feature
Will AMDrones ever, EVER learn?

This. Intel has always release better and superior products.

literally no reason to buy coffeeshit when 8 cores are coming next year for most likely the same price.
>>62466366
>hurr durr latest Intel CPU is gonna OC to 5 billion gigglehurtz on air
Constantly hearing this from shills before it releases and it turns out Intel was sending out golden samples, again.

>inb4 zen2 is 12 cores
>>62466540
>that Intel engineer swearing every devils canyon chip can do 5GHz easy
>>62466565
zen2 doesn't need to be 12 cores because only by changing the node they already get a >40% increase in performance at the same power envelop
>>62465982
>more cores
>less clocks
There is a high chance they are real.
>>62466046
>all the rumors about Coffee lake are true
>all the rumors about Zen2 are true despite it being more than a year away
Don't you faggots ever get tired of blindly believing what you hear on the internet?
