That may be, but to web browsers it reports itself as 1366x1024, its only using that extra resolution to sharpen output where available not to offer room to present more information.

This isn't unusual, most mobile devices report some fraction of their resolution for use with media queries.

So its not the same situation as say my Linux workstation machine with the 40" 2160p display that reports 1:1 sizes and you probably wouldn't want it to be considering how tiny a tablet or iMac displays are.

Governments don't really like the internet. Sure, you get to spy on everyone and amass a big collection of dick pics, but they far prefer to operate with compliant/captive, one-way, top-down 20th-century media. Free flow of ideas? Bad for business.

I don't care about the resolution, but I'm all for excluding pajeets. I have nothing against them in real life, but their internet presence is fucking intolerable.
