I've installed Fraps and initially everything was working fine; the FPS counter showed up in the corner of the launcher for example. However once in-game, it disappeared. Not only that, but I found myself unable to take screenshots or record videos. I've tried entering queries into search engines but thus far I've found nothing. Is there a solution to this?
Have this image of a nice little settlement as payment.
The specific reason for my desire for a Fraps-like piece of software is to screen-capture game-play, as seen in this picture. It's not feasible when Fraps refuses to take screenshots for whatever reason.
dont use fraps

I use something called loilo scope. No water mark and if you have a separate hdd it captures at 1080p 60fps pretty smoothly
>fraps
why do people insist on using this shit?
steam has an fps counter built in now, nvidia have shadowplay for recordings and amd have their own thing too.
>install malware
>things stop working
Wow, what a twist. I feel like I'm watching a M. Knight Shamalamadingdong movie.

Because they're gamers, and therefore they are severely retarded.

Open broadcaster studio set to record locally at a high bitrate is what I would do, I haven't used it in a while but it was great the last time I did.

it must be a DirectX game.
fraps does not support anything else.
