By the same logic a DVD can be read from and written to faster than a flash drive. That's fucking wrong. Stop spreading this crappy graphic.

Fuck, that's the same fucking noise my drive was doing.
It happened on a couple of occasions, when the laptop was slightly moved or the table was barely touched.
It's a 5 year old 750Gb HGST hdd, both of it's partitions were heavily fragmented, I did complete defragmentation on both.
Crystal disk info doesn't display any warning, and the drive gets a pass on the smart hdd tests in Linux.
That's a bit more relaxing, but I should start backing up all my shit, just in case.

unless you're poor and you have a specific requirement to keep at least 1TB in your laptop, there's literally no reason not to buy an SSD in the current year.

WD Black 2.5" are cheap. Went from a Toshiba to that and is really faster. Not that far from the cheapest SSDs I could buy here.
>>
>>62321265
For a laptop there's no reason to buy a 2.5" drive. They're slow, low capacity, and fragile.
>>
>>62320389
I'd go WD black but that's just personal
