Yep pretty much this. The content he makes is worth a subscription to keep yourself updated on new videos he makes. This is stuff pretty much anyone can do, all it takes is some basic phone board knowledge. The rest is pretty much like a desktop pc just plug and play essentially.

His first video (making an iphone from spare parts) didn't require much knowledge and is basically legos as long as you know which parts you need.
The second video was far more impressive, he created his own circuit for switching between the headphone jack and lightning port. Then he miniaturized the circuit, moved components around, and made it all fit. Shenzen is really what the US should have been at this point. We should have never let the silicon leave Silicon Valley
