jesus fucking christ, it's so much better. wy do most people say chrome is better? so glad i made the switch
Chrome was a lot better before Firefox got multiprocess and started to implement parts of Servo into Gecko
>>62266560
i tried chrome once.
i've also been pegged by my GF.
i'd rather be pegged than use chrome again.

The Firefox shilling on this board is getting intense
>>62266665
One is an enjoyable experience, the other isn't
>>62266560
If you like 55 you should try 57, it'seven better
In 55 my billion tabs session finally doesn't take 2 minutes to start. Good job.
>>62266665
I'd like to get pegged either way
>>62266560
get out sjwfox shill
>>62266704
>>62266930
How am I a shill? It's legitimately great. Prove to me how Firefox is worse than Chrome
I've been using firefox for a while and the only reason that bothers me is how much ram is uses. I'll just have 3 tabs open /g/, soundcloud, and some other webpage like wikipedia or search engine open and would eat up 300mb-400mb of ram. Is that really that necessary? lmfao
Is chromium good? I'm thinking of switching
>>62266560
Just test yoruself ffs - this is what I do every 3 months, I download chrome firefox, firefox beta and just test them trough all the tools available and every time I'm most satisfied with firefox results, been so for pretty much a decade already.
Just stop listening to the hive mind and test shit yourself, you see a lot of good top reviews - make an average take the top 3 browsers you like and test them out and stick with what you like.
>>62267883
>"hurr durr it's better than chrome"
Is that your only argument?
>>62266560
>wy do most people say chrome is better
Chrome is "easier", as in, dumbed down more. Most people like "easy", so in their mind, Chrome is better. It's really that simple.
>>62266665
Just say you have a gf and go
>>62267883
Ignore him, he's probably the anti-firefox samefag that constantly shits threads up.
>>62267886
chromium doesnt use any less ram, unfortunately
>>62267914
Yes, yes it is. I only used Chrome for years, and now I learned Firefox is better. What's your argument?
>>62266560
>wy do most people say chrome is better
paid shills, not even joking
>>62266560
People say Chrome/Chromium is better, because it objectively is. Try running some benchmarks and you'll see Firefox still can't compete in performance. It's also well known that Chromium is much more secure.
>>62267914
Well we all know everyone who uses hurr durr are newfags trying to sound smart.
>>62266560
Because Firefox on Android is shit and I like to have my tabs synced through all my devices. The last time I checked Firefox didn't sync your custom search engines and I have a fucking lot of them, did they change that?
>>62266560
I like FF a lot better than Chrome but the javascript engine in FF still has garbage performance.
I still have to open up some of those JS-heavy one page webapps in Chrome if I want them to not lag.
>>62266560
it's 2017 bro
all browsers are chromium + something, but mostly chromium, even mozilla now that they went full webext
you literally have no choice aymore. Enjoy your placebo.

Somewhat related, but has anyone else been having issues with font rendering on Japanese locale on Windows? Some websites look awful now.
I think a recent update broke it.

Vivaldi is closed source dogshit.

>>62269195
so?
>>62269207
>not browsing the world wide web through a person
what are you doing here?
my one gripe with Firefox is it's inability to scale up to larger numbers of tabs when I'm watching porn. you get to a packed out set of tabs on the top and a few on the second monitor and crashes are pretty common. This could also be one of my adblocking plugins?
>>62269241
>what are you doing here?
browsing the world wide web through a mellow yellow toaster idk mate
>>62269248
its probably ublock dealing with the trillion ads on porn websites

closed source can be considered as one yes, but you get full access to the product for free
>free
you can't outrun the botnet now
you either choose

or
>closed source

>>62267886
There is actually an addon for that.
I have used firefox since it was the only viable alternative to explorer. I use chrome when big brother services are actually an added benefit.
But aside from generally disliking google for killing shit I use just because it won't give them some marginal advantage over ms or apple, I am lazy and never restart my computer or browser, and firefox never gives me any issues whatsoever.
>>62269437
someone who would probably grab your cock at first given opportunity
>>62269519
>but you get full access to the product
Not to the source.
>you either choose
Firefox is extremely customizable, has a fine UI and good functionality.
>>62266560
Use firefox nightly though, that way you get new features faster and it seems stable. i havent used it much just about a week, no problems so far. i used chrome canary before that and it was stable too btw
>>62266704
I use Firefox and do believe it has gotten better, but yes, this post reeks of shilling.
