I need some simple programming problems for kids to learn. Something like calculate sum of numbers in array. It can be even not so simple problem, just as it does not have to use lists or objects.
Replace first character of each letter with something
Divide two numbers without using any divide function
Triangle number generator
Really including lists and objects are probably key to understanding OO principles

You are right about OO but that is not my job, i do just this simple shit

1. ask for inputs about things, like about people (name, age, zip code, (((gender))) etc )
2. optional: they need to use a dynamically growing array
3. print out some kinds of reports like order by name or age, print out people living in the same city, print out people using "other" genders, print out people whos name start with a character from A to G
4. optional: save the reports to a .csv file
Just have them do simple stuff like reverse a string in place, find all pairs of numbers with a specific sum in a large array of numbers, implement some simple RSA encryption and decryption for an array of numbers (after being given the math formulae for it), do a turing machine using arrays, maps and input, etc.
