Just flash the official global stable ROM once you've unlocked. Cheaper than buying another phone, especially since you dont want to spend a lot, and other phones in that price range won't be better.

If it came with global stable, then your bootloader is possibly already unlocked. Reflash it, must have been a dirty flash. My mums MiPad also had ghosting issues until I reflashed the ROM, vendor roms arent always good.

I wasnt talking about performance, I meant software bugs etc. Doogee is not a better brand than Xiaomi, Meizu could be an option but they use MTK mostly.

You're talking about a phone released in 2014 vs a premium tablet released in 2017.

Software makes the difference, samsung's current slew of devices (s8, s8+, note8) are all great with palm rejection because they've had several years in which to work out the kinks.

I've already orderd the Note8, but they're all good phones.

Note8 is the most expensive but price wasn't particularly an issue in my decision. I'll have the phone for 2 years or longer, i'm willing to pay whatever.

The note8 is essentially the current hardware king. Largest and highest quality display, 6GB RAM vs most phones at 4GB. Snapdragon 835 (the pixel 2 might have the Snapdragon 836 which will be a slight clockspeed bump). And the note8 has my favorite feature for a smartphone, the Spen, a very high quality stylus/digitizer for drawing, games, taking notes, or even signing PDF documents.

If you want most of that in a cheaper package the LG V30 is looking to be respectable as well, but they use an LG OLED panel that is far worse than samsung's OLED screen when compared directly to each other. And the LG camera is looking to be hit or miss, it seems good with video but kinda shitty with still photos.

Pretty much any of the 3 phones are gonna be good.

>>62265618
same shit everytime. People buy a device with good build quality that's $250 at release and expect the speed of a $300 device with questionable build that has been sold for half a year.

Don't get memed, The Adreno 505 is about 50% faster than the Adreno 320 in the SGS4 and that phone doesn't lag either, if you get rid of touchwizz that is.
>>
>>62266002
What the shit
What's the point of vr then
The concept is not to just stick a battery, a 7 inch 480x640 CRT display and a cheap gyroscope on magnifying glass and then cramming it on your face. You'd need a decent device for it to work proper, and cheap phones will do you no good. If you desperate, buy a used one.

Cheap smartphones are plentiful if you stop looking at the internet and go outside. I snatched up a Samsung Galaxy A3 for almost no money at a flea market, it was like the equivalent of 5 dollars. Otherwise, if you want to ignore me, literally THE cheapest smartphones are the real chinky ones on Amazon and clickbait cancer apps like Wish, I saw a guy get a hold of a really shit smartphone for 30 - 40 dollars maybe.

Although I'd say it's about time to replace your old phone. Xposed? What are you using, 4.1?

Why is your phone offline in the first place
are you Snowden?
>>
>>62266081
Using Lineage 14.1 with Xposed SDK25 for 7.1 on a galaxy grand prime 350W. Cheapest cellphone on my local classifieds is a galaxy s3 for 80$ which I might get. And this is a cheap trial run to see if I like it, worth investing in. I don't want to drop big bucks on it to find out it gives me intense headaches and dementia.

Am I the only one who doesn't fucking care and actually kind of prefers a bit of bezel? All a completely bezelless phone means is that your stupid fat fingers are going to be in the way of whatever you're trying to do. I mean, I don't completely hate it, but at the same time I'm not super fond of the no bezel meme currently sweeping the industry.

My favorite looking phone so far this year is the Moto Z2 and that has plenty of bezel.

Android is for those who don't care about security. Just see the recent article about bootloaders not being secure. Add to it that Android generally has poorly designed user interfaces and the user experience is incredibly clunky. App development lags well behind the iOS versions of the same apps. If you don't care about security or having a good experience, Android is fine. For those of us who do care about those things, iOS is a far better choice.

In this sense I agree, which is why I don't really care about the front camera quality, although since they've added it, a less retarded position to make it more practical to use the few times you need it would have been better.
>If you want to see retarded positioning look at the Essential phone.

root?
You will loose you warranty thou
>>

So what? Is that more important than control? Should I bite the bullet and expect a us988 root eventually, or just get fucked and get a different phone and lose a bunch of money?

Still have no idea how to know when and if any root would come out for it. But they seem to have come out for every other lg model for Verizon thus far.

Isn't root reversible?

Don't really care about warranty toward the end. Haven't really looked into cracking a Priv though, I will search about it but I was ready to just get a new phone at this point. This thing runs so slow at times that it's unbearable. Best way I can describe it is the phone feels throttled, at times it runs perfect then at others I tap something on screen and it don't register the action until 30 seconds later or so.

I know all phones become shit after a while but was hoping some company out there had made a phone that you wouldn't have to replace in a year.

Idk, there is probably someway the manufacturer can tell that your phone has been rooted.

After unlocking the bootloader on my redmi note 4 i can say it's amazing.

Thanks for making me feel even worse about my Vericunt LG G6.

How come nobody has a real answer for me regarding whether or not there will ever be one and if so when? I don't really even know how they come to be and who makes/ finds them. Therefore I can't logically estimate anything.

according to gsmarena, it doesn't have band 4 (AWS), is this 100% true?
>>
>>62273944
Either gsmarena has wrong info or Xiaomi does

thanks m8, fuck gsmarena
>>

I think there's versions with different bands depending on the region. But the phone's launching in Mexico where they use band 4 so I'm pretty sure there'll be at least one version with it.

Sorry but nothing can be done atm.
>>
>>62274059
It's launching here in Chile too, that's why I got scared of the lack of band 4 in the specs sheet from gsmarena

It's all volunteer effort when it comes to custom ROMs. Some guy who knows how to code decides to port a ROM like LineageOS to his phone and then he makes a port.

Count yourself lucky, though. You at least get easier access to the US models of phones and those usually have the most support unlike the European versions.

If you want super wide angle photos/videos, take the LG G5, otherwise the S7. Or find a good deal on the LG G6 and take that.
