/g/, I installed Win10 in a SSD, my old HDD was actually 2 HDD linked with RAID.

In my new install it doesn't recognize my old HDDs, neither does Parted Magic.

Probably my fault since I changed the Sata connectors to put my SDD in Sata 1, and Hard Drives in Sata 2 and 3. I don't even know if I respected the order they had before, nor know if that does matter in order to fix it.

I'm learning C from pic related and am having trouble on exercise 2.1:

I found the max value of char to be 127, which is of course 2^7 - 1. I thought unsigned chars were supposed to top off at a byte (2^8). Is my machine automatically "signing" them?
Also, I found the value of short to be 32,767 = 2^15 - 1, but couldn't get the program to display anything for int and long types (i essentially reused the same program for char and short, but swapping out types where appropriate). Here is the program to determine int:

Since site for downloading youtube videos I was using before gone shit (requiring application instead for eveything bigger than 480p) I wanted to try youtube-dl but I dont know what should I download from project page.

Does anybody know how to toggle/switch between different video streams in MPC HC or BE?
Pic related is the readout from MediaInfo so I know there are multiple video streams.

I have a camera (Hikvision) which can only be used over a (wired) network using network cable.
I have to connect it wired to a router and it well then automatically obtain an IP (or ask for a predefined one) at which I can access it.
The manual is about 3 pages long and half chinese English so won't help me. I've looked for it but haven't found the right search term I guess.
The question is:

Is there some way I can configure my linux/iptables/something to act like a router/DHCP server, so that I can plug in the camera directly, give it a self chosen IP address (192.whatever), and access it directly?

I have a friends laptop. It won't boot into BIOS or anything. I have a win10 USB and can get into recovery options, but, none of the options work except to open the command prompt.

A friendly anon here yesterday suggested that I make a Linux USB and try to boot from there. I made the USB, it shows up on my PC, but it doesn't show up on my friends laptop until i find the drive in command prompt. i can :DIR into it and it shows the Linux files. When I try to launch the USB from CMD prompt, it says it cannot mount.

From the Windows usb I have, it only goes into the recovery options.

When i start the laptop just on its own, it shows the Acer logo and then it shows a little hard drive picture and it says Boot Device not available, then goes into a dos like menu that says boot from Windows (click that, goes black for a minute, returns to that screen).

When I start the laptop with the win10 usb in it, it takes a bit longer to start, but it goes right into the recovery options. none of those options work except command prompt.

When I start the laptop with the linux usb in, it does all the same stuff as step 1, but it still doesnt show the drive under windows boot.

Is there any rhyme or reason as to how long a computer stays frozen for? I use blue screen viewer and every crash is memory related, it seems like windows goes looking for something it can't find, then dies. Really really odd, but I suspect the ssd, it's the only memory part I've changed this past year. Oh well, it's an excuse to tear this pc apart and upgrade with some new stuff I suppose.
