>Macbooks are overpriced
>Ok, show me a similarly priced laptop with the same specs or better. Reminder that $1300 rMBPs are light, have a 2560x1600 retina display, the best keyboards and trackpads in existence, 8GB RAM, outstanding battery life, NVMe SSDs, and the best build quality and support in the business

Can we finally put an end to this meme?

1. You're right about the trackpad but you know that keyboard claim is nonsense
2. Link the build you just stated for $1300
>>62156433
Alienwares give you better value in terms of specs. The display is not "retina" and it has gaymer shit like eye tracking, but I'd rather get that than a macbook for the price.
I put an end to it myself when I bought one a few months ago
Apple has the laptop market cornered. Literally, Windows laptops are relegated to a corner of the store where I go to while Macbooks are up front with lots of space.
>>62156464
More?
>>62156478
"Retina" is just high PPI, fucking everybody has PPI way higher than the original retina displays these days, it's nothing special
>>62156498
There is a bit more to it like they are all some IPS with some level of color or whatever. They are definitely the nicest screens I've seen built in to anything.

>best support
enjoy your new mother board when a component fails
My main issue with apple is the freedom trampling software and authorized repairs only, the hardware is not bad, lost of people mimic it, system76 comes to mind, although im growing away from it --typed from my macbook air
>>62156433
>2017 still using laptops
Just switch to PC already
>>62156530
shit, I missed best keyboard, fucking millennials
>>62156530
The whole authorized repairs only thing is more protecting Apple's brand I think. There are cases of third party batteries and the like exploding or whatever. That causes bad press. Controlling the repair process helps protect the brand. I really don't think it's all that sinister.
I respect your opinion. There is a market for the repairable laptops like chinkpads. Personally I don't really give a fuck about muh free software.

>2. Link the build you just stated for $1300
Waiting.
>>62156433
Do you even know who the CEO of apple is?
>>62156528
They do have very nice displays, and the build is very nice but the price is one of the biggest problems with Macs. If I could use them just for work, I'd use Macs but sometimes a normal PC is what you need. Up to you, but I'm sticking with a PC unless I get a Mac at a heavy discount/free. Definitely a fine piece of technology.
luckily for me I didn't pay for my macbook out of my own pocket. I hate this steaming pile of shit, I'd trade it for an x1 carbon gen 5 anyday.

Pretty risky background for a laptop
>>62157121
NEET's don't go outside. Laptops are for bringing anime to the bathroom when you have to take a huge shit but don't want to settle for phone quality animu.
So nobody has risen to the OP’s challenge of showing a comparably priced and specced windows laptop?
>>62157161
2560x1600 isn't much better than 1440p (which is the standard for flagship phones or even less)
>>62157096
Pic related
>>62157176
They can't. We've had this thread a million times before, this one isn't going to go any different.
>>62157188
Oh.
A Dell XPS 13 at the same price will get you everything the MBP has except the display resolution but with an i7, much better keyboards, and a lot more useful ports.
I know someone is actually replying to this, but I'm getting sick of these threads.
We have this thread twice every month, fuck off already.

Oh boy
Here ya go, bait thread maker. For 1350 burgers you get
>4k rather than 1600p
>16GB RAM rather than 8GB
>PCIe SSD
>78Whr battery
>business-grade support
>pen-enabled touch screen
>360° swivel hinge
