These chicklet XX30 series have DRM battery, DRM networkcards, a BIOS that requires an external flasher only because Lenovo decided to fuck with their customers, and the stiffest (and worst) chicklet keyboard of its class.

Better off with a DELL or HP, or even a FLEX-SUS over Nu-lovos. The old series are GOAT and the P50 is a modest step in the right direction.

Secondly, "DRM battery, network card, etc. etc." The only thing to really care about is the battery, you shouldn't have to flash the bios on this model nor change the network card unless you absolutely need 5ghz wifi and a very good majority of people do not. For $160 it's a good price. Find me a comparable elitebook that isn't falling apart at this price you fucking retard.

Depends on what you prefer. The X220 keyboard is better than the X230 (and that's the universal consensus). The X230 has USB 3.0 though unless you get an i7 X220. That's pretty much mainly it outside of the usual processor speed, etc. If you don't care about having the classic thinkpad layout, then just find whatever is the better deal. X220's are going for roughly $140 right now in decent condition if you search a bit.

Unfortunately I'm not qualified to answer that question :\ I want to say around $170 but then again, an i5 X220 in excellent condition can be had for that amount. The only thing I can really say is that I have a mint i5 X220 and paid $145 for it, so take that as you will and go from there if you'd like. I have an E530 with a 3210M which will happily sit at about 70C at the max boost of 3.1GHz under full load. If you're not putting it under full load for extended periods of time then you shouldn't have too much trouble with a T430 either, as long as you don't mind it getting fairly warm.
