I don't think I want my shiternet wasted clicking ads constantly. Also the point of adblock is so you don't get tracked. If you have an addon or script that clicks every ad on every website you visit then they already know where you are. That isn't the point of ad blockers.

Everyone in this thread is arguing over a moralfag non-issue in order to distract you from the fact that the entire concept doesn't account for TCP/IP protocols as you send your fucking IP address to Google a million times a day. Adnauseam is anti-privacy software due to the nature of the how network communication works. And don't listen to newfriends who claim browser obfuscation and script blocking is enough. Its not.

Don't use this software unless you know how to edit packets and send bullshit IP information to Google. Or you use a VPN.

A safer alternative instead of making your browsing habits known to Google is to construct a multi-deployable bot that just randomly browses the internet and clicks. The added benefit is that you can run as many as your CPU will allow and you wouldn't be letting Google know you visit Furry Foot porn websites.

This too requires a good VPN strategy though. /pol/ needs some technically minded people to keep them safe from themselves

You can use a VPN to connect through the internet through a virtual network. So when you spam your ajax and http requests to Google, they will get some IP from a VPN, not from you. Additionally, you want to make sure you randomize your IP in some way. By using a static IP, Google is more likely to build a profile on you.

I know you want to be contrary because you're not sure what I'm saying. You think I'm saying "stop using adnauseam", what I'm saying is "use it safely". We're actually trying to help you. If Google starts to go after people for this, you don't want your IP anywhere near this mess.

>>
Can I just edit the hosts file? Can google ban that somehow?
>>
>>62140926
There goes the arrows again. What data do they get from me when 400 ads are clicked and I've actually viewed none of them? What if I just go into random sites that I would never actually visit? They get nothing valuable besides garbage data.
>>
>>62140880
>uses jew talking points from their website
Anyways, your profile isn't filled with garbage. Google, the data behemoth, is pretty fucking good at filtering shit out. Who would have known! It's pretty simple to reference other data points in relation to your fingerprint to understand what was a real click or not. And in situations where they cannot, they'll just add it to your profile. Oversimplified obviously.
How does that actually benefit you? You're now being served yacht ads and world of warcraft ads, and clicking on them. Now tell me again how this destroys Google? You're giving advertisers more profiles to advertise to and this ... hurts them?
>>
>>62140688
>It doesn't block anything and clicks everything instead. Enjoy your freshly downloaded malware.
AdNauseam doesn't download anything, just simulates a click. They spell it out here:

Does AdNauseam's clicking put me at risk for malicious Ads or ransomware?

Absolutely not. AdNauseam simulates clicks on Ads by issuing an AJAX request to the adserver in a background process. This request is made without opening any additional windows or pages on your computer. The text-only request is safely discarded by AdNauseam before it has a chance to execute in the browser (no DOM is constructed and no code is ever allowed to run). Further, all cookies from AdNauseam's visits are automatically blocked before they reach the browser's local storage.

Peak /g/.

>>62140970
And when Google says your data is private, you believe them? :)
>>
>>62140968
Doesn't the extension continue to prevent ads from being shown? I'm pretty sure it works in alongside ad blocking software. And there was an article recently about "click fraud" because of this extension or similar practices. So clearly, something is going on with lots of clicks that have nothing to show for them that advertisers do not like.
>>
>>62140999
>And when Google says your data is private, you believe them? :)
I don't believe you.
>>
>>62141001
Click frauds come from indian web farms, these are effectively entire rooms full of people browsing the web and clicking, and they don't remain static in a way that Goog can just ban x range to solve that problem. You're talking about thousands of rotating staff per day clicking on n quota. That shit adds up much faster than an extension install base that isn't even on the chrome web store.
Realistically what happened is adnauseum shills caught wind up the news and took credit for it to get more users to install.
It uses tuned down fork of UBO.

Imagine the internet goimg back to an early 2000s state population wise with only hobbyists around
This really makes me happy

Yeah definitely. They get all of their ads clicked

You need to understand your opponent's point of view. You do not have to agree, but try to understand. Seeing that we are in [current year], that means that you need to curb your urge to call your opponent a Nazi, and use The Brain(r)(tm).

Ads are universally hated by people. They are distracting, can carry malware, use bandwidth, and can be animated/with sound. When you block ads, you are doing yourself a service. However, you are also doing a disservice to the people who bought those ads, as they paid for them. We tend to think of this disservice as being minor, as tonnes of people do not use adblock, and ad cost-per-view is quite low.

Adnauseam, also does a disservice to the people who bought ads, but the disservice is greater. Cost-per-click is significantly higher than cost-per-view, and as such the damage can be significant. If adblock blocks an ad, the advertiser loses 0.01, but if the user blocks and bot-clicks the ads, then it costs the advertiser 0.25! One adnauseam user can do as much damage as 25 adblock users!

This is why some browsers/users are fighting back much more against bot-clickers, when they were cool with adblock before. Maybe you do not agree, but at least now you understand.

And before you call me a Nazi: I am anti-ad, and I think adnauseam is fair. If it can force advertisers to change their business model to something less annoying, then it will make the internet better for us all. I hate how ad-infested the internet is, and I encourage everyone to use adblock.

...but I understand why some people disagree with adnauseam.

Considering most of the internet is either amateur bullshit, porn, and advertisements, nothing of value would be lost.

There's no free lunch. That's a cornerstone of economics. Ads are fine. However being profiled and your data being mined is not, at least to the section of people who care. It's laudable what these guys were attempting to do, but it makes sense for Google to not be on board. It devalues online advertising which is a very bad thing for Google.

It only fucks with advertisers that tracks users. We are voting with our browsers that we like to click shitty ads from companies that track, until that practice is unprofitable. Adapt or die is not anarchy.
>>
>>62143403
So what is the solution?
Use a virtual machine with a browser that goes go a list of sites, then spams the advertising?
Setup a bunch of servers to do the same thing?
Should we all go for a specific site to take down or is the goal to end all advertising (not gonna happen)
>>
>>62143403
Telling; how a namefag is one of the few voices of reason on nug/

Everything you said is true, but there is one more factor in this equation. Every click goes to some kind of tracker, and you click a lot.

Right now the trackers aren't designed for it and adnauseum will make your data worthless, but at some point the trackers might account for adnauseum, and then they can make money off of selling your extremely-detailed browsing habits. That's why people are screaming botnet. Adnauseum is botnet, but it does hit the advertised target. It's a tradeoff you can decide on yourself.

If you want to make a better plugin you need it to google for stuff like mortages, holidays, and everything else you can think of; visit a random page; and click on ads there. That will disjoin the data sent to trackers from your actual browsing habits.
>>
>>62143522
>So what is the solution?
As long as the advertising agencies can do whatever they want, there will be no solution. Online ads are currently unregulated, unsupervised, and unchecked. As long as this continues to be the case, then anything that users do to fight back is legit IMHO.

>is the goal to end all advertising
This is not realistic. But getting advertisers to behave ethically IS realistic.
>>
>>62143728

I don't think ads are good. I use Ublock Origin and NoScript. That said, you're attacking Google's profit margin, using one of google's products. What did you think would happen?
>>

Actually, exactly what everyone has been doing until now. Just use ad-blockers and/or bot-clickers, recommend them to everyone.

Last week I heard an interview of the CEO of a famous advertising agency: he was criticizing the whole internet ads industry and how fucking terrible it is because people are so sick of it that everybody has an adblocker now. And then basically explained how he's trying to push for more "ethical" ads (i.e. ads that actually don't prevent you from watching the content you want, aren't as bloated, etc.).

It's just one shitty jew responsible for the state of the internet and his only reason to be mad at his peers is because he makes less money, agreed. But I consider this a step forward desu.
>>
>>62143403
>This is why some browsers/users are fighting back much more against bot-clickers
Google blocked the extension it because it can get away with it - not because of the extent of damage. It can't block adblockers since that would cause people to switch browsers.
Firefox is fighting against it because Firefox does what google tells it to do.
Palememe was probably bought off. Labeling Adnauseum as malware is just laughable.

Ads have always existed and will always exist. This shitware you're shilling will just make things worse. They'll start additionally charging you per website you visit, or the internet will become an even more invasive shithole. Because something has to pay for the webdevs and servers. Fighting against ads is retarded when there are better things to fight against, for example make an uprising against ISPs. They shouldn't exist in the first place and everyone should be able to access the internet without them. They're a much bigger concern than ads which you can fucking block anyway.

Are you trying to devalue the cost of an ad so you can purchase ad space? Are you trying to fuck over Google? Because Microsoft is a much bigger concern than Google. What's the point of that shitty addon when it will not do anything in the short run and destroy everything in the long run?

Trying to kill ads is fucking retarded, you have already been able to just block them with ease while tech illiterates keep viewing/clicking them. Why would you want to get rid of ads altogether? What do you think will happen to free sites when there's no way to generate passive revenue through ads? We have the best setup right now, we get to use sites for free without ads while normies keep supplying them with ad revenue.
