What are the most retarded reasons for using tech that you do?

WTF I thought java is the worst thing that happened to computers

I just figured iOS would be alien to me and give me less freedom on mobile devices. But my complaints for android are endless. I don't actually know what iOS even looks like or how it behaves.

I've forgotten a lot of my android complaints but the most unforgivable one to me I still remember is after standardizing vibrate (on tablets) after a certain price point, they don't allow you to disable vibrate while still enabling notification sound: it's either both, or none. Maybe a higher android version has the option but mines is forever butfucked at 6.0.1. This shit happens all the time. I was told rooting fundamentally undermines security so I used that as an excuse to never look into it...
