What does /g/ think is the best VPN?
It's in the news today that my country the Netherlands is allowing prosecution of torrenting after being a bastion of free internet for so long, so I guess I have no choice.
Best VPN is a botnet of compromised computers.

It's also a bit vague because I'm certain I heard our interior minister (when he still had his job) say that they would not prosecute illegal downloading. Which makes me wonder how an entity like brein could even force fines like that.
The rulings are vague as the dutch courts are waiting for european (read fucking germany and their nazi companies) rulings before changing their own future edicts.

cont.
Also in other sources I've read that they basically wanna collect all torrent user ip's for years in order to build huge cases.
I think it's mostly scaremongering, but it works on me because I have not heard any news to the contrary.

Yeah i understand where you're coming from. I also think it's scaremongering and it works on me as well. Before i would download left and right but now i think twice before i do. Most of my friends torrent withouts VPNs as well.
I guess they won't fine people (for now) as they do not have the manpower to enforce it (yet). As for what VPN to use, i have no idea. Haven't used any yet.

I torrent plenty till today, but this news changes things. I can't defend myself vs a shitty company like that so ill use VPN till I know its safe to live without.
It's so degenerate, free sharing of information is the greatest scientific gift we could hope to achieve and this ancient economic model of the old world is keeping back progress.
I'd pirate out of principle if it wasn't the sanest thing to do already.
