Why Firefox doesn't care about advanced users anymore? I can't set my own homepage (new tab), I can't even edit search engines.

The download button isn't customizable anymore.
>>
because mozilla a shit now
>>
>>62079266
Because Firefox is a normy browser. It's literally the iPhone of browsers
>>
>>62079266
Why do you think Firefox is losing users?

They're trying to appeal to the masses but the masses don't care what browser they use, and they're all using Chrome or IE/Edge (or Safari).

Firefox had a niche in the power user bracket, but they're thrown that away.

Did you deliberately cut off the part where it says "add more search engines"?
>>
>>62079726
FF is carving out a new niche - Antifa and Fascist Left.
They're got a completely 'diverse' (no white men allowed, except where they do all the work) corporation, Soros' money pouring in they intend to police the web and censor content that they (Soros) find 'harmful'

It's turning into a Facist-bait version of Chrome.
>>
>>62079266
firefox is down to 7% of the market now and dropping. it will be dead within 6 months.
>>
>>62079266
They don't care about gtk users as well.
>>
How the fuck do I use treestyle tabs without the ugly titlebar showing up? There's nothing in the extension's settings and I can't remove it in Customize menu

This.
They cared for you (power users) when they launched and needed traction, now they don't give a fuck about you cucks anymore and they're going after the stupid normie users of chrome and ie.
Do you feel used and dirty?

I would imagine so, however GNOME actually has native extensions for these awkwardness.

>does it fix the ugly vertical space waste problem?
I don't have the problem as of now.
>>
>>62079741
Are you retarded? I can't edit the link string. I don't want to add more predefined search engines.

Some years ago it was possible (about:config).

Pixel saver, it not only fixes firefox's gtk2 esque titlebar but also fixes the other apps that have this same problem

I really like how nightly is shaping up except for one thing, I want Mozilla to move (or at least allow you to move) the menu button to the left side. That's where I put all of my buttons so it makes sense to keep it with them so the mouse doesn't have to travel as much.

Not an argument against your point:
You can create an own seaech engine by modfying a xml in your mozilla profile folder
Just google it
>>
>>62084232
I googled it for you...

Get correctly formatted XML file with engine name different from already installled - tag <ShortName>. As a base or example you can use most engines from http://mycroftproject.com (see below).
Set devtools.chrome.enabled to true in about:config
Open the browser console. (Tools -> Web Developer -> Browser Console)
Run:
Services.search.addEngine("file:///Users/.../opensearch.xml", null, null, false);
