Why doesn't AMD just sell Vega64/56 with a water block attached or coolerless? Miners aren't going to go for them because <effort> leaving them for us.

So, you advice AMD to produce an unfinished product to make it less appealing so they can sell fewer units with smaller profit margins?

Genius.
>>
>>62062334
Because AiBs do that usually.
AMD offers CLC edition if you really want it.
Miners won't touch it.
That, and RX Vega is officially unfinished.
>>
>>62062334
That is ridiculous machining for a fucking waterblock Jesus people are stupid.
>>
>>62062858
Make your own and sell it.
>>
>>62062825
AMD sells CPUs without heat sinks nor motherboards. Why do GPUs get the package treatment?
>>
should i buy vega for mining? is it actually profitable?
>>
>>62063129
Yes, just learn how to steal electricity or camp out at your local library/starbucks.
>>
>>62063129
No and no.
>>
>>62063109
I dont have money for HAAS but it looks something doable on cheapo Tormach.
Makes me think to be honest.
>>
cheaper gpus with no coolers and a variety of custom coolers to put on them would actually be a fucking GREAT idea
>>
>>62063129
not until bios mods are out there is a lot of potential in the card
>>
>>62063234
No, it'd be a fucking stupid idea. The cooler is a relatively minor part of the overall cost - especially AMD's cheap garbage stock coolers. You'd barely save anything and still have to buy a cooler yourself. Not to mention the hassle and complexity of fitting a cooler, with all the thermal pads, secondary heatsinks, screws and whatever else modern high end coolers have. Plus the potential of people damaging their cards during installation and trying to RMA.

>>62063121
This is a cool idea. To bad there is no standardization in gpu coolers
