What's the oldest program (not including games) you regularly use?

For me, it's Adobo Photoshop 7.0.

DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink,Photoshop CS2,DVD Flick, TMPGEnc. All hail from 2004/5ish. All work with Win 7 x64 no problem. Used to use CDex for music ripping (back in the 9x days) but I switched to Exact audio copy when it first came out.

Acdsee 3.1, best piece imahe viewer ever created.

It sees pictures, properly, even gifs at their proper aspect ratio, speed and color pallate.

It's like a miracle.

I don't get it
Windows Explorer does that on its own for me
>>
>>61978308
Not properly and the browsing it's clumsy compared to this, you have hotkeys for everything and a photo editor integrated.

The browsing it's so good that I used it as alternative in cases the explorer collapsed for whatever reason, other good point it's that it will run on everything, you click on it and it opens, no steps between you and watching a simple picture.

>What's the point of WordPerfect vs something like modern Wordpad or Winword
The point is, WordPerfect has been around forever, and it was once (arguably) King of the Hill among word processors. So if you started your word processing life using WordPerfect, and it does everything you need it to, why not continue to use it?

I don't think the anon you're replying to is trying to say that WordPerfect 5.1 is superior to, or is more feature-rich than, modern word processors. He's just answering the simple community-friendly question of what's the oldest program he regularly uses. That just happens to be WordPerfect 5.1.

Why does there have to be a point? Why does he have to justify his use of a word processor? Maybe your question isn't so innocent or polite. Maybe your tone is actually an attempt to persuade others NOT to use older, perfectly-fine programs. Could your sly condescension be the result of fear and/or greed? Fear that you and your masters haven't been able to wheedle and cajole every last dollar you can out of other people's pockets? Fear that some people are still resisting your "planned obsolescence"? Fear that your Windows Wordpad, Winword, Word/Office service-as-a-gravy-train global hegemony might come to an end if there are any hold outs?

Your FUD has no power here. Go suck a tailpipe, Microsoft shill.

I'll rephrase my question in order to not get anymore autists triggered.

What makes wp5 so good that you continue using it?
>>
>>61972878
How old are the coreutils?
It's pretty amazing how they're still in use with barely in updates
>>
>>61980618
>What makes wp5 so good that you continue using it?
What part of "it does everything you need it to, why not continue to use it" didn't your tiny brain understand?

Is it the part where some people aren't sheep, and haven't been brainwashed by the "if it's new, i must buy it, because what would other people think of me if i am not just like them" culture?

You shall not pass.

Paint Shop Pro 6 or ACDsee 5.0

I've tried the newer versions and they're bloated and slow for the quick edit or fap.

My only real complaint is that with ACDsee 5 modern file sequences for doujins go 1.2.3.~etc and the ACDSee 5 goes all over. ex: 1-10-11, 19-2-20-3 and so on.

your autistic screeching is not a reply anon. it isn't my fault you are having a bad day and must shit on others you dont know, maybe you should get out more often, go ride your bike, quit staying in so much, dont listen to that inner voice of yours that tells you "no you shouldn't do it because xyz" you need to get out of your comfort zone kiddo.
>>
>>61980787
>your autistic screeching is not a reply anon
The reply "it does everything you need it to, why not continue to use it?" is a reply. But apparently you won't accept that. Or can't accept that. Because it destroys your corporate narrative of "consumers are sheep to be fleeced."

You have been exposed, shill. Good day, sir.
