DDR3 (?)
Small virtualization lab for home. Considering Open Nebula because I was recently exposed to it at work and I kinda like it. Accepting critiques and insults.

Upgrade or Just Waitâ„¢?
>>61967857
Wait for 10nm CPUs.
But upgrade your monitor. A 1080 at 1080p/60hz is a fukken waste unless you really, really like DSR.
Basically an optiplex 780 with an R7 250 in it
it was 65 bucks total, cant complain
Do you guys reccomend going 1280x1024 or 1360x768?
>>61967777
Just realized pricing for RAM wasn't listed... they're 177/pc
>>61968138
1280x1024 is a dumb resolution, but more importantly 1360x768 has fewer pixels so you'll theoretically get at least a smidge better performance.

Nice try, CIA.

5:4 is objectively better aspect ratio, so regardless of resolution you should choose it over 16:9 (but not 4:3).
