you're wrong. I don't play games. G900 is by far the best because of shape and it has no rubber. it also has the best scroll wheel I've seen. It's way better than MX and doesn't have that silly wing on the side.

why do gaming mouses look like complicated sex toys

A shitty CM Storm Gaming Mouse from Cooler Master that i got as a bundle item with an equally shitty keyboard. this mouse is shitty that instead of LEDs it has kid of light bulb in it that gets really hot if you leave it plugged in for too long. If i could recommend anything to you is to get a logitech mouse.

Still using my G502, comfiest mouse I've ever used and the unlockable scroll wheel is a godsend for web browsing and scrolling through long documents.

I use an MX master for work, music and gaymen. Seems fine by me. I suppose a proper wired mouse would work slightly better for games, but I'm too old and slow for it to make a difference.

Logitech M720 Triathlon as my couch mouse. Since I have both my PC and an android box connected to my TV, I love the feature that lets me switch between different connections with a button on the mouse. Would recommend

Only one set of side buttons works at a time, so you can't use the ones on the pinky side. They also do not get on the way, I've not had any unwanted presses on them (and if I did nothing would happen).

Is there anything that's similar to the logitech mini-optical in terms of size and shape?

Mine died recently and I can't find anything I like.

I would also be interested in something that has a deep thumb groove on both sides of the mouse, but it seems like that's not only uncommon, but there are very few mice with good pictures of all angles.

I still use the first edition Logitech G5. It must be like 11 years old by now. It still works absoultely fine, though the scroll wheel lost some of its precision about 9 years ago. At this point I wonder how much longer I can keep using it.

I have the predecessor of the g700s and the button to unlock the scroll wheel was getting stuck once in a while, logitech just went on and sent me a g700s and i could keep my old g700, now i have two mice that work pretty much perfectly
