Meh, tell me when 802.11ah or something similar gets supported and then I'll be interested. I've never needed higher bitrates than what I could achieve with n and honestly have no problem still using g, but being able to use 1/10th the power for wifi due to more narrow channels does interest me a lot.

Large corporations won't make a mainstream chip for this because it wouldn't be adopted mainstream. Why advertise lower power when you can advertise higher bitrates and get more "tech people" to buy your shit
>>
>still no good solution for walls
fuck off

I don't see why they haven't made it possible to use smaller channels for lower power consumption and have it automatically switch to wider channels when you need more bandwidth. You can already use larger channels so why not smaller? 802.11ax would give you ~14 Mb/s if you were able to use a 2 MHz channel, which is more than enough if you're just doing web browsing. There's no reason to use 10x as much power to be able to fetch websites at 143 Mb/s.

Websites now have up top 8MB of js, css and images.

Not when I disable all that third party shit with uMatrix they don't.

Fokken nice.

Why are ISPs so shit? The technomogy keeps on growing , and ISPs don't seem to be getting any better YOY.
