I just wrote a script which logs into my machine via SSH, installs packages, sets up configuration, deploys new version of software and restarts the web server to pick it up. Most importantly, this can now be done with a single command.
Feels good.

I've been using Bosh (with cloudfoundry) up to now, but heard some good things about Ansible.

Come on anon, it can't even emulate user input if requested, USELESS

Chef
As insane as it sounds, React + Node.
I've been a C++/C#/Python dev, currently in a senior role, for 7 years now. ES6 makes javascript a whole load more bearable, react makes web frontends make sense (functional, one set of inputs makes one output, no side effects) and node somehow makes writing shitty little scripts even easier than writing python which is a feat.
Being at the level I am in dev, especially career-wise, I never thought I'd say this yet here we are.
