Planning on learning Go. Would anyone here that read it recommend "The Go Programming Language" by Kernighan and Alan Donovan? I loved K&R and The Unix Programming environment, but I'd like to know if this is good as well.

Reading it now. I'd definitely recommend it.

Bumping for interest. This thread is way more interesting than the 15 fucking 'Firefox is dedd xD LOL' threads.

I'm planning to buy it.
Programming Pearls

I've also seen C++ Primer recommended often
I'm planing to buy Operating Systems: Design and Implementation.
Would anyone recommend it?

I have it (5th edition), it's pretty good. Just don't get confused by C++ Primer Plus, it's a shitty book with a baity title and has nothing to do with C++ Primer.

Is that by Tanenbaum. If buying OS text, buy Tanenbaum
Interesting to learn about how Google operates at scale. But there's also a lot of self-stroking in it.

Yes its by tannenbaum
pic related is unironically a great selection of books straight off the wiki
I love schneier's crypto for engineers (aka applied crypto but 2000's version) and you can NOT go wrong with the Compiler Dragon book (2nd edition)
Also, the C programming language is the first i've read and probably the best desu
