AMD btfo as always

low effort bait
OP is actually right. Most people on this board can't even afford an i5, let alone a threadripper.

Tell me, Abdul, what do you need with a 16 core CPU?
Are you all of a sudden a 3D artist who needs to render a giant image in Maya?
And all of a sudden you can afford a $999 CPU and $450 for a motherboard?
and that's why there are the 6-8 core chips too
OP is baiting, but he's right. Threadripper is massively hyped, but is largely irrelevant to the mass market. Or should be, at least. People see to be buying it for some reason.
I suspect we'll see a lot of gamerbro "Why I regret buying Threadripper" shit in a few weeks even though they should have never bought a this kind of processor in the first place.
It is good to see AMD get the spotlight though.

You're on /g/.
Quite a few people actually utilize their machines here, be they shitty IBM pads or hunks of lead in a rack that jet heat.
>>61844577
I've never seen this much shilling for any company (mostly for AMD).
I see people sucking AMD cock everywhere, when in fact, none of those poor niggers can even afford the 1920x for $799.
>>61844606
It's sold out tho
>>61844628
Not too difficult to sell out a stock of 7 pcs
>>61844628
Probably a small amount was released by AMD.
Skylake-X was sold out too for a while, I think it still is, especially the 7820x and 7900x.
Probably HEDT fans snatched them all up.
$999 CPUs are useless for the masses.
Chad is not going to consider a budget for the CPU from $300 to $1000. It's just not going to happen.
