>AMD has so many defective GPUs they have to give them away
You can't really have high yields on such a die with a interposer, probably around 60%, which is still respectable.
If yields were really shit you'd have a third bin a5 around 46-52 CU
>>61835974
TR review kit also had a dummy TR, anon.
>>61835974
Is it 1.7% tho
>>61836305
Dats not V100.
>>61836305
No, that's GV100.
>>61835974
>1.5% yields
>housefires
>slow
>expensive
They're using the shitcooler version for reviews?!
AMD doesn't give a fuck, they sent their weakest SKU that runs sub-1400mhz average instead of the one that's running close to 1700mhz

>You can't really have high yields on such a die with a interposer
An nvidia engineer at hotchips conference said they were eyeballing every P100 interposer for cracks because there isn't a good way for machines to automate it. I hope AMD devised better ways for QA
>>61836348
Why would they give a fuck when the gaymen performance is abysmal?
It's their way to sell shitty bins to miners.
>>61836394
Yeah, you need 2 exposures for V100, just at that stage a lot of V100s die
>>61836330
t.leather jacket man
>>61835974
It's cooler than dumping them in the trash. They should sell them as keychains desu
>>61836566
I'd buy a V100 keychain.
>>61836583
Considering they cost $20000 when they're working, you'd be looking at $200 for the scraps alone.
>>61836554
t. amdrone
>>61836627
1.7 woodscrews housefires porkshoulders fuck off huang.
>>61836305

>>61836614
I'd buy it anyway.
The biggest die evar, now as your keychain!
Good stuff.

While you're still here, ded V100 keychains are a good idea.
why would someone want a broke gpu. throw in the trash where they belong
>>61836656
Anon that's gay.
>>61836656
As expected of a normalfag.
>>61836641
>>61836643
>amdrones living in the past and always waiting
hilarious
>>61836674
JHH please.
You still have to patent your own edition of "one-fits-all" interposer.
>>61836674
>hurr durr AMD has 1.5 yields even though they don't
>meanwhile NVidia has actual 1.5 yields now and in the past
>hurr durr AMD pulling a 3.5 with Radeon SSG
>meanwhile NVidia pulled actual 3.5 and lost in court over it
Kill yourself Novidya. The "NO U" thing isn't really working out for you right now.
