What are you going ot use it for? I wouldn't get it unless you absolutely need Windows with stylus support on the go, the amount of money you have to spend to get a decent configuration could be spent on any other regular ultrabook or an iPad Pro.

It depends on the use case. Im not a tab maniac and the small screen keeps me from having lots of applications up at a time . Its never choked on the workloads I use it for, but these are admittedly small. The bigest restriction ive found is the one usb port .

I use it to draw and do lightweight stuff on the go. A few art apps don't really scale their UI properly and cause UIs for ants, but other than that, I'm quite happy with it.

I would just get a regular 2 in 1 laptop with a 360 degree hinge then. Don't get me wrong, I love the Surface form factor and the 3:2 aspect ratio but it doesn't really make sense to get one if you're not going to use the stylus, and the attachable and detachable keyboard attachment can become a hassle if you're going to do a lot of typing.

Thats practically what I use mine for and ive had no trouble with it. 4 chan in tablet mode is quite nice in potrait too. Personally its the best laptop ive ever had, but ive only ever had crappy made hps and toshibas before this. The construction is top notch .

It was more of "find something that doesn't have a UI for ants while offering good support." I also had to replace my Surface Pen with the Bamboo Ink pen, and I haven't looked back yet. I got used it to quite nicely since just about everything did scale properly to the size of the screen, rather than the resolution. Only things I found that were off was just those art apps.

Depends on your budget but the HP Spectre x360 is probably the best one to get, the 15 inch model even has dedicated graphics if you need it.

True, I've been trying to choose between the Surface Pro and an iPad Pro but I've decided on the iPad because the Surface is too expensive for getting a decent configuration and the iPad is a tablet that can double as a laptop and not a laptop that can double as a tablet, and when I'm on the go I use it as a tablet way more than a laptop so I need something that works better as a tablet.

Be ready that if something breaks there won't be any good way to fix it. Ms made it as hard as possible to do any kind of repairs or maintance with this machine. I would't recommend to buy a product which is so anti consumerist.

It's amazing at my work for one reason, the docking station charger.

At my desk I have an external monitor, mouse, keyboard, network cable, and an external hdd connected to the dock.

When I plug the charger at my workdesk, all those gets instantly connected. I need to move around with my computer a lot during work, so this is a godsend for me.
