USB c can send audio in a digital or analog form. You can use the onboard dac or an external dac.

My phones 3.5mm port broke, so I just use a Bluetooth adapter.

It's not that bad. I wouldn't buy a phone without it because it does suck having the battery run dead. Also my phone has fm radio which doesn't work without a 3.5mm jack for the antenna :(

Other issue is I do get interference when I'm walking downtown, just gotta keep it close to my phone. Maybe it's just my bt dongle is crappy. Apow from Amazon.

I don't see the 3.5mm jack going anywhere. Apple folks have dealt with inconvience constantly (iTunes, special charging cable, no flash, no sdcard, etc). So I don't see it a big deal for those folks. Android users won't go down that avenue

I had a RN3P for 6 months before it broke. The main issue for me was the fact that it was so cheaply made.
