It's a mature language with a fully-stocked ecosystem that can be used to get useful programs up and running quickly.

Unfortunately dumb coders are cheaper than smart coders so there's tons of terrible java code out there.

The java environnement is slow. That's why, opening a JAR is terribly slow

opening jar is not that slow but when starting up java has to load the whole standard library as jar files which is lot of files to load.

It's just terribly uninspiring.

I feel like the people who write Java are either pajeets or people who have no interest in programming besides a 9 to 5 job.
